The Federal Government has approved the Presidential Metering initiative (PMI) with the overarching objective of closing the metering gap in the country within three years leveraging smart metering technologies of data analytics. The MAF scheme under this initiative is aimed at procuring and installing meters for unmetered Band A customers within the country. The fund shall be under the management of a Fund Manager as approved by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
